English translation:automatic braking system
Explanation:
"One of the key questions surrounding the west London train crash is whether better warning or automatic braking systems would have prevented the accident." from http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/special_report/1999/10/99/london_...

A different term translated as "emergency braking system" appears elsewhere, so this a good option

neutral  Desmond O'Rourke: automaattinen jarrujärjestelmä - not the same thing as pakkopysäytyslaite

-> OK, scrap that part and leave it at automatic braking system.

neutral  Timo Lehtilä: There are three related terms here in Finnish (and English?) 1. hätäpysäytys (emergency stopping), 2. automaattinen pysäytys (automatic..), 3. pakkopysäytys (forced..). The difference is not always clear but often it is. 'pakko-' does not nesessarily ..
