sequence Explanation: There is a small possibility that this is a colloquial form from 'sekvenssiventtiili' (sequence valve). It is also called 'seurantaventtiili' (according to Swe 'följdventil') and because 'seuranta' is a deverbal noun, it might possibly have been replaced by 'svenssaus', which also is a deverbal noun by form, although the corresponding verb 'svenssata' probably is not used. The correctly formed expression would be 'sekventointiventtiili' or 'sekvenssausventtiili', and if the mechanics would have to use it some hundred times a day, I would expect something like 'svenssausventtiili' appear within weeks. |
