Medical - Medical (general)
Finnish term or phrase: ya (medical shorthand)
Excerpt from a patient's notes:

"
Osallistujat
[lääkärin nimi]-Sh-Sh opiskelija-ya (erillinen kertomus)
"

I think that "Sh" is short for "sairaanhoitaja" here. But I can't seem to unlock "ya".

"ya" = ??????????????

English translation:general anaesthetic
Explanation:
Usually, "ya" means "yleisanestesia", i.e. general anaesthetic, which is reported separately. So I would read the line as containing the name of the surgeon, assisting nurses (including a nursing student) and a method of anaesthesia, which is reported on a separate page.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks. This has not been a pleasant day for me, in terms of the number of medical abbreviations I've had to decipher. :)
