refining/amending Explanation: épurer is the French word meaning 'to purify' or 'to refine' I think in this context it may mean the refinement of the original drawings, i.e. when amendments to the original drawings are made prior to the projects actually being carried out. |

projections Explanation: Response from Vreeburg seems to be logical. In old times, a Dutch subject was called "projectietekenen" (European vs American projection etc.) i.e.(roughly) drawing (front, rear, side view; or elevations, plan and sectional viewa. |
