Flemish to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Human Resources / Controlegeneeskunde
Flemish term or phrase: controlearts - controlegeneeskunde

I am familiar with the meaning of the term, but I couldn't find its UK English counterpart.

The practice in Belgium is that if you call in sick at work, your employer can send a "control doctor" to check your actual state of health. Does something similar exist in UK?

The obvious "control doctor/physician" does not yield any relevant hits on google that would indicate it has the same meaning as in Flemish.
