Yes, I think you are absolutely right - in the sense of "on its behalf" (XXXX being a company)- well spotted. In my text in the sense of quotations would not be binding on XXX until it had confirmed an order placed. I'll award after 24 hours - thanks very much!!!

i.e. if the purchaser in my case purchases from XXX and on-sells to a third party, that third party would not have any recourse against it for problems with the products that XXX supplies.
