French term or phrase: Vêture
“Bardage, vêture ou parement.”

My understanding is that they all refer to types of cladding? How would you translate vêture, which unlike bardage doesn’t seem to include an air cavity between the layers?

Thanks in advance.

Here is the definition in FR. As opposed to bardage, vêture includes the insulating material.

Thanks!! I went for the alternative of wall panel as siding wouldn't work as well for UK English
