French term or phrase: NP
On an academic transcript for someone with a technical degree in networks and telecommunications.

Specifically:

"Diplôme : NP - DUT Réseaux & Télécommunications"

It is also listed in front of the titles of each of the dozens of modules, e.g.:

"NP - Administration système"

Thank you for any tips!

English translation:Personal Work Grade
Explanation:
https://www.univ-orleans.fr/siteD8/default/files/2019-05/mod...

Around the middle part of page 2, at the bottom of the table:

"L'expression orale en continu est évaluée lors des cours. La note de CC [contrôle continu = continual assessment] de l’année est obtenue ainsi : P1 + P2 + NP (NP = ***note de travail personnel*** = moyenne des différents devoirs demandés tout au long de l’année et de l’évaluation de la progression, de la participation orale et de la présence aux cours). Dictionnaire interdit."

For space reasons, you may want to abbreviate the term to PWG and insert a note explaining the abbreviation above or below the notes table.

For the 2019-2020 academic year, some continual assessment grades may not have been awarded due to Covid.

neutral  Tony M: Seems unlikely in a FR text — where 'pass' is not used for succeeding at an exam.

disagree  Thomas Miles: Even if we consider it an anglicism, where would they have got it from? Any system of an English-speaking institution would surely use 'Fail'.

neutral  Yvonne Gallagher: can't see how this would be correct in either English or French

agree  Saeed Najmi: Makes sense. The final grade could be the total sum of a number of tests, quizzes, exams per module in addition to a grade that evaluates the student's/participant's personal input/work in each module

Unspecified

Explanation:
This is really a shot in the dark. It would mean that the level of degree is not specified. For support, search "NP" in https://solidarites-sante.gouv.fr/IMG/pdf/Cemka-eval_impact_...

neutral  Tony M: Danger of a faux ami here! 'Unspecified' is not a universal synonym for 'not specified'! In particular, it would read oddly here; in any case, I suspect that if all the items in Asker's text were "not specified", the text would become redundant!
