mini remote control / fob

Explanation:
Apart from Chris's suggestion, this is what I found.

Bipettes are mini remote controls with (typically) up to around 4 buttons on them.

From https://www.fmsource.com/topic/46747-questionnaires-style-pe... where someone wants a 'bipette' to answer multiple choice questions on an interactive test.

Others use 'bipette' to describe their electronic keyfob or for their garage remote controls.

https://mbsquad.clicforum.com/t3053-alarme-centralis-e.htm

neutral  Daryo: plausible, but given the "abundance" of details about this contraption, it could be just about ANY noise making gadget.

Buzzer

Explanation:

"Chime" could be fine. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. A clock chime is a melody or a set of melodies played at intervals upon a set of bells to mark the passage of time.

neutral  Tony M: There is another word already in FR for 'buzzer' ('ronfleur'), 'bip-ette' suggests more a 'beep' sound than a 'buzz'; 'chime' is a very special kind of more complex sound, scarcely comparable to any kind of simple 'beep'

  -> Et "Chime"? Qu'en pensez-vous?

neutral  Daryo: with so little context it's plausible, as much as other answers.
