French term or phrase: Brut Paie à 0
This is a line on a pay slip appearing between "Avantage en nature véhicule" and "Remuneration brute." The number on this line is under the "Retenue" column, so it is something deducted from the employee's pay rather than added to it.

Is this a deduction for wages that were paid previously for days that the employee did not work? There are no unworked days shown on the monthly calendar on the pay stub.

Gross salary down to zero

Explanation:
The wording is very weird in French as usually the adjective (brut) is after the noun (paie) such as in "salaire brut" or "rémunération brute", which is here not the case. Moreover, we tend to use 'salaire' with 'brut' but not 'paie.' However, we say 'Bulletin de paie' for wage slip.
Regarding "à 0", in some cases, an employee's net salary may be negative at the end of the month.

This is the case, for example, for an employee who has been absent for the entire month and who contributes to the mutual insurance company's guarantees. His gross salary is zero (i.e. 0€).

I hope it will help you a little bit although accounting is not my specialization.

Example sentence(s):
  • Brut Paie à 0
  • Gross salary down to zero

disagree  Daryo: what would be the point of a "salary slip" if there's no salary to pay???

neutral  SafeTex: I'd have said "at 0" but I think you are on the right track as it can't really be tanslated as much else.

Pour précision, il n'y a pas d'avantage en nature :

lorsque le salarié paye une contribution financière, par exemple sous la forme d’une retenue sur salaires, et que cette contribution est supérieure au montant réel ou forfaitaire de l’avantage en nature ;
Attention : si cette contribution est inférieure à ces montants, un avantage en nature est constitué et soumis à cotisations et contributions. Il est alors égal à la différence entre le montant de l’évaluation de l’avantage et la contribution financière du salarié ;
