This is an activity to be carried out under an anti-corruption programme. I wonder what these "rencontres foraines" could mean. Public meetings?

Of course funfairs and circuses and gypsies are taking it too far in this context but for me your travelling "roadshow" has a certain amount of razzmatazz associated with it as well. There's Safetex thinking of pop groups! It can also be radio stations doing outside broadcasts and so on. There's usually some sort of advertising and selling or at least advocating going on. Commercialized in some way in other words. I really think the register is wrong for so serious a matter...

Hello

It can be travelling funfair but could also be circus. The important thing is that the people who do it are 'travellers' like gipsies or Roms

'Roadshow' is not bad but that could include a famous pop group which is not the case.

'Public forum' is for me completely wrong as is 'public meeting'. (too general, political, formal etc)

So done of the suggestions are perfect but I have nothing better to offer

from the Larousse entry it would be "Circuit" court in legal parlance so Writeaway's "itinerant" would seem to be correct.

Hence my suggestion of "locally-held" here. (Also considered "ambulant" but doesn't work here)
