I am translating a report of an MRI examination of a patient who has just had an operation to embolise an aneurysm on the right MCA and is exhibiting a left-sided sensorimotor deficit. In the following I am stumped by “lutte vasculaire”

I understand that vessels that appear hyperintense in FLAIR are impaired in some way, e.g. “FLAIR vascular hyperintensity (FVH), seen in some patients with ischemic stroke, is known to be associated with stenosis and occlusion of vessels and the attendant slow flow”
