French term or phrase: chasse
This appears in some terms and conditions for a petroleum product pipeline network. I really have no idea what it means. Can anybody shed any light?

pigging
Explanation:
Pipelines are maintained using an operation called "pigging", which uses "pigs" that travel through the pipeline. A series of pigs with a cleaning fluid moves down the pipeline to separate deliveries of different products. This train of pigs and fluid takes up a certain amount of space which displaces the total volume of product delivered.

Explanation:
'flush', as in' chasses d'eau', might fit the context, but only a guess, I'm afraid
