Explanation:
I'm guessing this is for real estate. If it's for patents, I don't kmow. EN USA.

agree  AllegroTrans: "...to acquire" (consider the possibility that a purchase is not involved)

Acquisition by proxy

Explanation:
Since it is a title, the nominal construction is better than the verbal one

disagree  Tony M: Indeed, sometimes yes — but here, you have completely changed the meaning. Instead of being a document that is a 'procuration' for the purposes of 'acquisition', you have made it an 'acquisition' by way of a proxy.
1 hr

disagree  AllegroTrans: "Proxy" means written authority, but here we have a much more specific "power of attorney" which is not the same thing

Power of Attorney for (a) Purchase

Explanation:
Personally, I'd also prefer a noun form — especially as 'to purchase' here could be misinterpreted (foolishly!) as meaning that the procuration was for sale!

(Conveyancing) Authority to Acquire Land

Explanation:
There is no indication that this is a purchase - even though my (unproductive) Translation Office Production Managers & Directors in Central London issued a misguided FRE/ENG glossary showing the purchase translation.

They had to be told that an an acquisition could be a voluntary = free-of-charge conveyance, a gratituous assent = a free probate transfer to the beneficiaries or even a mortgage of land under the UK Law of Property Act 1925 > 'purchaser includes a mortgagee'.

Example sentence(s):
  • .. The FWS has various authorities to acquire lands but no general authority to dispose of its lands.

neutral  AllegroTrans: What if it's a thid floor apartment with no land? And is this not a POA? I see no need for "conveyancing" - that, or rather the French equivalent, may well be done by someone other than the special attorney appointed here
4 hrs
-> 1 conveyancing is for ref. and info. 2 procuration e.g. given orally but ratified by email does not always overlap with a PoA pouvoir 3 land, again in ENG law, means ground + buildings 4 this may not be a purchase for money but a land swap
