French term or phrase: bride d'usure
Hello,

This doesn't seem to be a standard term in French (5 Google hits!), which isn't really helping when it comes to finding the English equivalent. "Wear flange" (a tentative guess!) doesn't appear to be right.

Any ideas - either of a more normal French term for this, or the English equivalent?

Here is the term in context: "[...]des brides d’usure sont mises en place afin d’éviter le couplage galvanique manchon de coque – circuit eau de mer".

Thanks,
Hayley
