French term or phrase: volet d’encolure
I'm translating a brochure for luxury horse trucks and am stumped on the correct technical term in English for "volet d’encolure" in the description of the partitions used:

"Bat-flancs en aluminium, sur poteau, avec têtière amovible / Option volet d’encolure"

Very niche I know but I'm crossing my fingers for a horsey translator who knows what I'm talking about!

top door
Explanation:
This is the top part of the stall door that allows the horse to put its head out of the stall (not out of the horsebox, this would be an internal partition door to a stall (probably one of several) within the horsebox.

The reference below isn't for horseboxes, but it shows what is meant.

Rear top stable doors are proving a popular additional option for many stables customers, offering the horses an all round view whilst improving the circulation of fresh air.

On second thoughts, depending upon the design, a top door could enable a horse to put its head out of the horsebox while the vehicle is parked and serving as a stationary stable.

"L'encolure" is the horse's neck.

V-Yoke

Explanation:
It's a grate or grill with a V-yoke to allow the horse to put its head through. Couldn't find a picture of one in a horsebox though.

neutral  B D Finch: Can you show how that would translate "volet"?// That is certainly a possibility.
