French to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Transport / Transportation / Shipping
French term or phrase: droiture
This term is used in the context of a distribution process and is described as follows: 'il existe une forme intermédiaire de distribution qui se situe entre la distribution directe et la distribution par les dépôts : "les droitures". Il s'agit de livraisons commandées auprès d'un distributeur qui portent sur des camions complets mais pour lesquelles les produits sont directement livrés au client par le producteur, sans passer par les entrepôts du distributeur'.
I have considered the term 'dropshipping' but need to be sure that this covers the entire definition in French so any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

neutral  Suzie Withers: As far as I can tell, fulfilment is still a "middle man" - you're not getting products directly from manufacturer to consumer in this model

correctness

Explanation:
It's about deliveries organized and managed by a distributor who delivers or brings products by fully loaded lorries or trucks, while products are delivered to customers directly by producers who don't need to go through delivery warehouses.

'les droitures'
can also be
'the rights'

In the context related to distribution and deliveries
'les droitures'
could be the upright character or positioning.

Example sentence(s):
  • Il s'agit des livraisons organisées et gestionnées par un distributeur qui porte des produits en camion entièrement chargé, tandis que des clients peuvent recevoir des produits directement des producteurs qui ne doivent pas passer par des interpôts.
