Par convention, on considère que la valeur "vraie" de la caractéristique mesurée est comprise dans l'intervalle ±Ig autour de la valeur mesurée (avec une probabilité de 95%).
Sauf indication contraire, pour les moyens de mesure non spécifique, on prendra comme valeur pour Ig celle donnée par le fabricant ou bien celle figurant sur l'IVE correspondante
