Interessant hierzu ist dieser Wiki-Eintrag: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pente_savonneuse Das würde eher zu der Interpretation führen, dass der Autor die Frage stellt, ob das Konzept des Individuums wirklich zwangsläufig zum Individualismus führt. Deshalb auch das Fragezeichen. (Natürlich nur, sofern der Text diese Interpretation auch hergibt.)
So wie du es jetzt erklärst, wäre der gleitende Übergang auch möglich, obwohl ich mit dem französischen Ausdruck etwas ziemlich Negatives verbinde. Um das genau zu sagen, bräuchte man aber meiner Meinung nach, den ganzen Abschnitt auf Französisch.
dass jeder (in unserer Gesellschaft) Wert darauf legt, Individuum zu sein und als Individuum geschätzt und anerkannt zu werden - und Individualismus dagegen einigermaßen verpönt ist ("die Gesellschaft vergiftet").
