La Befana


Explanation:
L'équivalent "symbolique " de Hans Trapp c'est bien la Befana qui apporte du charbon aux enfants qui ne se sont pas bien comportés au moment des fêtes de Noel ......

agree  Dario Natale: Beh il carbone è buono altroché è l'unica cosa interessante della befana :))), comunque non saprei dipende molto dal contesto, se è una pubblicità per bambini sicuramente preferisco la risposta di Carole.

Le Père Fouettard (Hans Trapp en alsacien, Père La Pouque en Normandie, Rubelz en Lorraine germanophone, Zwarte Piet « Pierre le noir » en néerlandais, Hanscrouf dans la région de Liège germanophone) est un personnage du folklore de la fête de Saint-Nicolas. C’est un personnage sinistre, qui accompagne saint Nicolas lors de sa sortie, le 6 décembre ou la veille au soir. Alors que saint Nicolas distribue des cadeaux aux enfants sages, le Père Fouettard dispense des coups de fouet aux vilains garnements. Dans certaines régions françaises et belges, les coups de fouet sont remplacés par une livraison de charbon ou de betteraves à sucre. Certaines traditions récentes le présentent au contraire comme un assistant de saint Nicolas dans sa distribution de jouets.

En Belgique et aux Pays-Bas, le Père Fouettard est de peau noire, porte des vêtements de couleurs vives et a souvent de gros anneaux dans les oreilles. En Alsace et en Lorraine le Père Fouettard est tout de noir vêtu.

La leggenda narra che Saint Nicolas avrebbe resuscitato tre bambini tagliati a pezzi e messi sotto sale da un macellaio. In realtà questo vescovo del III sec., originario dell’Asia Minore, venne canonizzato per la sua fede e la sua grande generosità. Comunque sia la devozione popolare ne ha fatto il santo protettore dei bambini. Nella vicina Lorena, di cui è il patrono, vengono organizzate diverse processioni il 6 dicembre, giorno in cui il santo arriva per distribuire i giocattoli ai bambini buoni, usanza che si è conservata in gran parte del nord dell’Europa.

A partire dal XVI sec. la tradizione ha affiancato al santo un torvo compagno: Hans Trapp, il castigamatti che viene invece per punire i bambini cattivi. Di origine alsaziana, questo personaggio vestito di pelli d’animali ricorda in realtà una figura storica, il signore Hans Von Drodt, che terrorizzava la regione di Wissembourg dalla sua fortezza di Berwartstein.
A Wissembourg Hans Trapp è associato a una tradizione molto viva ancora oggi: ogni anno, l’ultima domenica prima di Natale, per le strade della città si snoda un corteo.
