Anticar e acela care achizitioneaza si comercializeaza obiecte vechi de valoare, adica antichitati. Vanzator de antichitati e acelasi lucru cu anticar, spre deosebire de vanzator de vechituri, adica acela care vinde obiecte vechi fara valoare. Nu e adevarat ca anticarul e doar cel care vinde carti vechi.

Sursa: DEX '98 | Trimisă de ana_zecheru, 19 Feb 2004 Eu credeam ca mai bine ar fi vanzator de antichitati, de vreme ce anticar se refera azi la vanzator de carti vechi, pe cand termenul "antiquaire" in contextul meu se refera la obiecte vechi.
