Traduzco un informe pericial sobre un siniestro en las vías de un tren y aparece un término cuyo equivalente español no encuentro.

Aparece una imagen donde aparece una torre de alta tensión con su cableado y se denomina "Masse suspendue". Esto lo he traducido como "masa suspendida" porque es cuanto encontré en iate. Sin embargo, el texto debajo empieza diciendo:

"Le seul acte de malveillance possible, sans se faire électrocuter, consiste à enlever les poids de tension des câbles. Toutefois, même dans le cas où toutes les masses auraient été enlevées, nous aurions observé d’autres contacts entre le fil de tension et la structure supportrice avant le contact supposé être à l’origine du sinistre."

Aquí es donde no tengo muy claro cómo denominar "masses".
