permit for examining/reviewing pilot qualifications/credentials Explanation: It may not be state of the art, but I think this would be clearly understood. |

evaluator pilot rating / pilot evaluator rating Explanation: Oh, you mean the LÜB? :-) Just kidding, aviation is not my area; I got the acronym from Google. Google also suggests that this is specifically a military pilot rating; unfortunately it doesn't tell me what exactly this rating authorizes you to do. But simply verifying/inspecting a pilot's license/certificate doesn't seem like something you'd need to be certified for, so I wonder if this is really more about evaluating the pilots themselves, which would also seem to fit better with the structure of the word (-führerüberprüfung–). In the US military there are evaluator pilots, who are "responsible for evaluating pilots during regular checkrides" (link below). So you could call the LÜB an "evaluator pilot rating" IF you know that the two ratings are more or less the same thing. But I don't know that, so a better route might be to make up an equivalent term like "pilot reviewer rating." https://c17pilot.com/c-17-pilot-training/ |
