| Reference Reference information: The problem with root is that Knollensellerie is translated in BE as celery root. So if you say it has minimal root growth, this is somewhat negative! This link speaks of a 'fibrous root system'. Celeriac is not a true root but is a stem which has developed with a large mass measuring up to 15 cm in diameter.
