Tech/Engineering - Computers: Hardware / Computer hardware & peripherals
German term or phrase: Eingabefach
Context:

"Die Software steuert den Roboter, der Medien im Eingabefach automatisch entnimmt, in ein CD/DVD-Laufwerk einlegt, einliest, wieder entnimmt und schließlich im Ausgabefach ablegt."

I initially thought the Eingabefach must be the CD/DVD tray in the drive, but that seems to be the next step, and then the Ausgabefach is evidently the opposite of the Eingabefach. This is re. a CD/DVD copy robot. Might it be an "input tray"?

* Sentence or paragraph where the term occurs: See above
* Document type: Software/system manual
* Target audience: Computer engineers/medical IT officers for DICOM applications.
* Country and dialect: Germany (possibly south German dialect, probably none)
