German to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Computers: Systems, Networks / control and monitoring
German term or phrase: Überwachungsstation (ÜS) - Control and Monitoring Stations?
part of a request for quotation -

LV-Visualisierung

Part of a configuration description for Überwachungsstationen (monitoring stations?). - This is not in a medical, but in an industrial context. I did see the medical context of "central monitoring station". Would this be appropriate for Überwachungsstation (ÜS) in an industrial sense as well? and what would be the abbreviation then (ÜS = CMS)?
The text describes the design and equipment of these stations, monitors, programs, etc.

Do you think "Control and monitoring system" = CMS would be correct here?
Beispiel:
Die Aufstellorte der Überwachungsstationen (ÜS) sind in den jeweiligen Grundrissplänen des Gewerks Starkstrom eingetragen

Thank you for your help!

Thank you Herr Gleim, and others as well - I will use the abbreviation (MS) with prior explanation. "auch wenn viele Panels beide Funktionen beherrschen" was helpful. - The text actually had some CMS further down in the job.

-> Yes, and I entered a very relI able reference from IATE. BTW: Used for other industrial domaines, too.I know the term since 1980 as approval engineer and since 1992 as side-job translator as well.

agree  philgoddard: This seems perfectly straightforward, though I would have put 4 so it doesn't sound like there's only one possible answer.
