Bernd, thanks for your request for clarification. This is from a commercial lease ("Gebäudenutzungsvertrag"), and the only reference to "Grundwassertrichter" is what I put in the quote (minus some confidential stuff). The building that the tenant here is leasing is one of several located in a so-called "Chemiepark," i.e., a highly developed industrial park with several commercial tenants in various buildings. There are several contract provisions in this lease on environmental protection and safety. Thus, it's quite possible that "Grundwassertrichter" here refers to some kind of environmental protection device or technology (not my area of expertise) rather than a natural phenomenon. That's why I also hesitate to use "ground water funnel." Is there such a thing as a "ground water filter"? |
