(groundwater) observation well / contamination monitor(ing point) Explanation: Sounds like a physical gauge or monitoring location. I've come across groundwater observation wells (google finds tons of references) which are there to monitor groundwater quality, but whether that is exactly what they have in mind here I don't know for sure. (Another thought: because you're talking about groundwater remediation, and the process seems to have been underway for some time at this site, and because they differ from the Grundwassermessstellen, this sounds like it could be some kind of gauge or monitor, I'd guess for measuring not just the groundwater depth but also the level of contamination. If this is not an "observation well," then something along the lines of "contamination monitor" or "contamination monitoring point/location" would probably come close. |

remediation horizon Explanation: Although I think the answer already suggested is a possibility, this is another option. It might be that remediation is carried out in a particular horizon of the soil profile. The reference below, while not giving "remediation" and horizon" together, talks about the "remediation system" and the "sampling horizons". restoration level(s) Explanation: Eine Sanierung geht über die Instandhaltung und Instandsetzung hinaus und schließt oft die Modernisierung ein, die auch Nutzungsanpassungen und erhebliche Eingriffe in die Bausubstanz erforderlich machen können. |
