Siehe unten Explanation: Ich meine, dass Deine erste Annnahme stimmt: This measure lessons environmental pollution through the reduction of CO2 gas emissions by 172,000 tons which is the equivalent of 245 g of highly toxic nuclear fuel. |

Pollution production Explanation: has to be the key, and yes, I agree the English it not all it should be. Or maybe the German... I think "Schritt" is the wrong word and that the author should have used "programme" - in other words, a "set of" steps. He then apparently assumes we all know what - or where - the greenhouse gas CO² comes from. Reading between the lines, it seems this company is a very large user of electric power, and the power these "Schritte", or economies, will save will in effect mean a reduction in the output of 172,000 tonnes of CO², which expressed in nuclear terms would mean the production of 245 grams less of highly-toxic nuclear waste - it may possibly refer to the use of nuclear fuel, but I don't THINK so. Now; I'm no nuclear scientist; it just looks to me to be the likely meaning. If there is a nuclear power agency in Ireland (Eire or north?), you might consider checking with them whether my surmise is right. |

-------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2012-08-01 21:35:16 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Tippfehler: 245 g Uran |
