Bus/Financial - Environment & Ecology / Reducing Consumption in Buildings

From an article about reducing consumption (of electricity, water etc.) in buildings. I can't make head or tail or "Gebäudeportfolio". Is it just a pretentious way of saying buildings? TIA for your help.

property portfolio
Explanation:
That's how I'd treat it, and yes, it is perhaps a little pretentious, but it's the English these property management companies use today, whether we like it or not...

OK, after checking with my German native-speaking client as well, it seems this is indeed a portfolio of buildings to be rented and sold to third parties. So property portfolio it is, then. Thanks David and peer graders - appreciate everyone's assistance.

I expect it refers to the assortment of different types of buildings being scrutinised/analysed.
