Is quite interesting, as it implies that there is already enough, but does not imply downsizing. Hmmm...If we have enough (which we most certainly do) then we need not consume more. The idea of bigger, faster, further, higher is passé and the concept of smaller, slower, closer is moving into view. There are so many of us already practicing 'less is more,' a Buddhist philosophy long adopted by the hippie movement, which glided smoothly into the new age movement, becoming one of the eco movement ABCs and, for millions, has simply become an accepted way of life. |
