It would help to know if a manual, electric or electroinic typewriter had been used.

Otherwise, my Austrian bank payments are made - including ona PC printer - on an erstschriftliche 'Zahlungsanweisung' - previously Einzahlschein - with a durchschriftliche 'Autragsbestätigung'.

Note that it would be diffucult for several recipients to receive more than one original Urscjhrift is not, despite the weblink, a true synony, plus a lease - engrossed in various 'parts' - has an original or master plus any number of counterparts. Contrary to popular ProZ SPA/ENG myth, the document cannnot be issued in 'counterparts' alone.

neutral  AllegroTrans: I really think carbon copies are a thing of the past in Germany, nicht wahr? And this is a letter, so why all the explanation about engrossments and couterparts? We must not let our lawyerly tendencies get out of control
