automated entry services / bulk entries Explanation: Back On The Case Of Automated Entry Services May 23rd, 2012 We’ve not blogged about automated entry services for a while so we thought we’d get back on the bandwagon. We want to make sure compers and promoters are aware that they’re still around and that they’re still piling in loads of entries. Those who sign up to such services also need to be aware too! Last week one promoter complained to us that they’d picked up 15,000 “spam entries” – all disqualified – so these sites doing comps “on your behalf” are often not even getting into the hat. https://www.loquax.co.uk/blog/comping/back-on-the-case-of-au... I blogged about the problems with Automated Entry Services here. They’re an incredibly lazy way to win prizes – and personally, I think they take all the fun out of our fabulous hobby! In fact, I feel a little insulted that on the BBC show, people using these services are referred to as ‘compers’ – they’re certainly not like the genuine compers I know, who enjoy the thrill of finding and entering comps themselves! https://superlucky.me/the-bbc-investigate-automated-entry-se... |
