Recently, BNSF railway has installed two small custom bridges in Shelby. The little walk bridges are designed to allow train crews to access the rail yard without having to get down into a drainage ditch. That ditch drains rain water from Shelby and is often flooded. The slopes of the ditch are also grassy and slick. BNSF prides itself on safety and so this is just one more thing to help keep their crews healthy
