"Die neueste Generation der hauseigenen Hochleistungs-Stanzmaschinen ist mit einem neuen automatischen Rollenwechsler ABC versehen, von dem sich XYZ eine deutlich höhere Maschinenauslastung und eine Steigerung der Leistung und Effizienz verspricht.
Beim ABC handelt es sich um einen kompakten Rollenwechsler, mit dem erstmals die gleichzeitige Aufnahme von zwei vollen Rollen möglich ist, ohne dass dadurch die Bedienfreundlichkeit und Zuverlässigkeit beeinträchtigt wäre.
„Mit Hilfe der Non-Stop-Abwicklung können wir den Abfall deutlich reduzieren und dank eines trägheitskompensierten Kontrollsystems beim Rollenwechsel eine konstante Bahnspannung gewährleisten“, erläutert Herr X, Geschäftsführer von XYZ.
„Die Stoss-an-Stoss-Spliceeinheit trennt die Bahn mit einem präzisen Schnitt und bringt gleichzeitig das Klebeband an der Nahtstelle ohne Überlappung der Bahnen auf.“ Mithilfe einer „In-Register“-Funktion wird die laufende Bahn im Verhältnis zur vorbereiteten Bahn konstant gehalten.

From an article about a flying paster (at least, that's what I've managed to figure out an "automatischer Rollenwechsler" to be). To do with conversion (of paper, films and that sort of thing). I can't make head or tail of "Stoss-an-Stoss-Spliceeinheit" and can't find a translation for "Stoß an Stoß" anywhere. The Spliceeinheit is just a splicing unit, I guess, or maybe splicer. Stoß might mean joint, maybe? (It can also mean splice, ironically enough!) But there are no Google hits for "joint to joint splicer" or "joint to joint splicing unit". So I'm completely and utterly stuck. TIA for any enlightenment you can provide.

agree  pj-ffm: I'd go with this. "butt" implies that the paper is being joined end-to-end (Stoß-an-Stoß) rather than overlapped, which is another alternative for continuous paper. http://www.glatfelter.com/learning/glossary_b.aspx
