value feeling Explanation: according to the German Dictionary of Philosophical Terms: http://books.google.de/books?id=Nr-7KpabEtsC&pg=PA420&lpg=PA... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 30 mins (2013-04-22 10:29:21 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- See also this: http://books.google.de/books?id=tNtH-jnJJt4C&pg=PA113&lpg=PA... |

feeling for values Explanation: In this Schelerian philosophical jargon "Wertfuehlen" is often paired with "Wertsehen" (intuition of value), this last one being a superior form of relation to value; thus the first one should mean something like "premonition of value"... I think "feeling for values" (wording already used in English) is usable, as long as by its psychological tone marks the break with the apriorical kantian jargon. |

self esteem/transferring positive values Explanation: I'm not 100% sure, so low CL - but the concept of transferring positive values onto our children is quite common in philosophical dissertations. I based this suggestion on the asker's discussion entry. |

value consciousness Explanation: I found the following link with a translation that I find at least worth considering. Another one I found is much clumsier by comparison (value-feeling). "The overt radicalism in the free law movement in underscoring the sense of social justice (Rechtsgefühl) or value consciousness (Wertfühlen) prevalent in the community never gained wide ground among the legal profession."
