I noted that lease is right (lease and franchise agreements are not the same thing, though you may have to sign both).

I didn't say I support lease report. Aside from the fact that the module may already exist in English, several things that are part of the explanation don't make much sense to me. Either it's a misnomer or we need more context.

And of course, this is a discussion box, so it's for figuring out what works and what doesn't. Also, every agreement, neutral and disagreement "interferes" with an existing answer as well.

By contrast, a good number of answerers either ignore the d-box or use it for additional input. And they will award points regardless.

Likewise, we have people who almost never or never answer questions but only post in the d-box. That's fine, too; none of this is going to change the purpose of this box.

... what are you getting at here? I see no manipulation at play here at all, but rather a perfectly legitimate attempt at helping the asker whilst also requesting him to ask the customer for clarification, for obvious reasons.

There could be 10 answers posted here; that wouldn't change anything.

One of the worst things you can do when trying to translate IT documents is guessing what the name of a module, program or function could be.

People like me have to correct this later, so customers don't end up confused because the descriptions/names in the manual, brochure etc. don't match up with what you see on screen.

That's one of the purposes of this box: to discuss things because you're not sure that asking for suggestions is helpful.

Also, there's hardly anything to "manipulate" with only one answer up. That doesn't even make sense.

Yes, it's a lease, though I assume we're talking about SAP BAIO. Unless this module is not availabe in English, you need to ask the customer, or someone who knows enough about the modules in question.
