A dúvida é se no texto em português o termo deve permanecer em alemão ou deve ser traduzido, e, neste caso, qual seria a tradução. Grato pela ajuda!

Die Berlinzulage war zu Zeiten der deutschen Teilung ein 8-prozentiger Zuschuss zum Lohn nach § 28 des Berlinförderungsgesetzes (BerlinFG). Er wurde dafür gezahlt, dass der Arbeitnehmer seinen Dienst in der eingemauerten Stadt West-Berlin verrichtete aber auch als Ausgleich dafür, dass er selbst längere Wege in Kauf nehmen musste um ins nicht dagewesene "Umland" zu gelangen und auch um die höheren Lebenshaltungskosten auszugleichen, die durch längere Transportwege der Waren entstanden sind. Obwohl schon zu damaligen Zeiten viele Produkte aus den nahe gelegenen Regionen, sprich Brandenburg, stammten, was die wenigsten wussten.
