Explanation:
O verbo "belangen" quer dizer "referir-se a, dizer respeito a, tocar etc." Daí o substantivo "Belangen" como tudo aquilo que diz respeito a alguém de modo individual: suas necessidades pessoais, suas preocupações, seus "assuntos" e, em certa medida, seus direitos e interesses.

Costumo usar a tradução "interesses", que é bem neutra e parece englobar todas essas categorias acima. Acho que essa solução funciona para a sua frase.

O problema dessa tradução só surge quando a expressão é "Belangen und Interessen", como em vários textos de cunho jurídico como este:

"Den Belangen und Interessen des Opfers wird in besonderer Weise Rechnung getragen."

Em casos assim, é bom usar "necessidades" ou "assuntos" ou outra solução que melhor se adapte ao contexto e estilo. No seu contexto, repito, "interesses" é uma boa solução.
