Als Rollfuhr bezeichnet man im Transportwesen das Abholen und Zustellen von Sendungen per LKW im näheren räumlichen Umfeld des Unternehmens.

Kurzbeschreibung

Die Bezeichnung Rollfuhr steht bei Frachtführern oder Spediteuren oftmals für eine Abteilung die sich mit dem Strassentransport von Sendungen in näheren Umkreis des Unternehmens beschäftigt. Über diese Abteilung werden Vor- und Nachläufe von Sendungen abgewickelt, die entweder per Sammelverkehr (LKW, Luft- oder Seefracht) eingetroffen sind, oder per Sammelverkehr das Lager verlassen. Das bedeutet, die Aufgabe der Rollfuhr darin liegt, Waren zu konsolidieren oder diese wieder zu verteilen.
