Context:

General Note to the site installation sequence and/or philosophy for installation of the exhaust plenum and expanson joint at the Wacker project:
1.
The installation of the exhaust plenum must consider the requirements of the gas turbine with regards to the installation procedure & installation sequence and interfaces.
All interfaces of the exhaust plenum to the gas turbine must be carefully measured and adjusted - principally at the flex seal interfaces - to avoid any misalignment and damage during commissioning and operation of the gas turbine.
2.
The existing base frame on site will be re-used.
To allow for potential additional alignment and height adfjustment, additional shim stripes in various thicknesses will be supplied to allow height level alignment of the exhaust plenum, if required.
3.
The site installation procedure and/or the site conditions will determine the installation sequence of the exhaust plenum with vertical configuration and expansion joint duct.
The below two scenarios regarding installation sequence are possible:
a. Scenario 1:
Installation of the exhaust plenum first and then installation of the expansion joint duct on top of the plenum vertical exit - or:
b. Scenario 2:
Installation of the expansion joint duct first, secured temporarily at the upper customer exhaust duct and then install the plenum below the expansion joint.
The installation sequence per scenario 1 will require free access and space to the area between plenum vertical exist and customer duct interface.
The expansion joint upper and lower duct parts will be connected by means of external clamps to allow lift of the entire expasnion joint duct in one section.
The external clamps allow for reduction of expansion joint duct vertical length by approx 50mm to ensure access to the interface flanges during the installation activities.

Мне кажется "duct" можно опустить, учитывая последний абзац "The external clamps allow for reduction of expansion joint duct vertical length by approx 50mm" т.е. высота этого элемента всего 50 мм, и первый абзац, в котором стоит просто "expanson joint".
