An vielen Stellen finde ich, dass Polyharnstoff in andere Sprachen mit Polykarbamid übersetzt wird. Oft auch mit "polyurea". Ok, Polyurea ist schon klar und verständlich, aber Polykarbamid? Stimmt das wirklich? Irgendein Chemiker unter Euch lieben Leuten, der mir hier ein bischen unter die Arme greifen kann?

Ja, stimmt, Harnstoff nennt man auch Karbamid, die Bezeichnung kommt von der chemischen Zusammensetzung des Harnstoffs her.
Welche Bezeichnung ich im Deutschen für Polyharnstoff verwenden würde, hängt allerdings von der Art des Textes ab, also wer die Zielgruppe ist und welcher Begriff in diesem Zusammenhang üblicherweise verwendet wird.
