Σήμερα ο κύπριος τηλεθεατής έχει απαιτήσεις, γιατί έχει πλέον παραστάσεις για το τι γίνεται σε όλες σχεδόν τις χώρες του κόσμου. Τη δυνατότητα αυτή την παρέχει ο δορυφόρος. Επομένως, η οποιαδήποτε θετική καινοτομία σε ένα δελτίο ειδήσεων υιοθετείται αμέσως από τα ανταγωνιστικά κανάλια. Στην Κύπρο, όλοι οι τηλεοπτικοί σταθμοί ακολουθούν την ίδια δομή. Προαναγγελία του κυρίως μενού του δελτίου με τα γνωστά τρέιλερ και η ανακοίνωση των κυριοτέρων ειδήσεων με «κρόουλ». Όλα τα δελτία ειδήσεων συνοδεύουν τα ρεπορτάζ με τίτλους, ώστε ο τηλεθεατής και στην περίπτωση να μην έχει ήχο, να γνωρίζει σε αδρές γραμμές τι βλέπει. Το οπτικό υλικό ενός ρεπορτάζ είναι τώρα πιο πλούσιο. Ο κινηματογραφιστής, παντρεύει το ρεπορτάζ του συντάκτη με όλες τις εικόνες. Τα τελευταία χρόνια τα ρεπορτάζ διανθίζονται, εκεί που πρέπει, και με κάρτες. Αυτή η καινοτομία, αφορά ρεπορτάζ με στατιστικά στοιχεία, ή γραπτές δηλώσεις χωρίς ήχο. Επιμένω ότι καλύτερη τεχνική δομή για ένα δελτίο, είναι η αξιοπιστία. Η εγκυρότητα και η αντικειμενικότητα. Ο χρόνος είναι επίσης σημαντικό στοιχείο. Ο τηλεθεατής πιστώνει θετικά το ηλεκτρονικό μέσο που πρώτο θα τον πληροφορήσει για ένα σημαντικό γεγονός. Όλα αυτά συνοδευόμενα από τη σύγχρονη τηλεοπτική ενημέρωση προσδίδουν θετικές προοπτικές για ένα φιλόδοξο κανάλι.
