μακρυπτερύγος τόνος (επιστημονική ονομασία: Thunnus alalunga) IS identical with the English albacore fish. Αποκαλείται επίσης μακρόπτερος τόνος, τόνος αλμπακόρ, όρκυνος, τονάκι ή απλά τόνος. Ανήκει στην οικογένεια των Σκομβριδών. Απαντάται σε όλες τις τροπικές και εύκρατες θάλασσες, συμπεριλαμβανομένης της Μεσογείου.
