Explanation:
This appears in Georges Perec’s Espèces d’espaces (English translation: Species of Spaces) as a line by Jacques Roubaud.

The line in the poem that appears in Perec’s book is:
Ainsi on croit voir un pont à son galop

and in Perec’s English translation this becomes:
Thus you think you can see a bridge galloping

The Greek could simply be rendered as “like a galloping bridge”.

I have seen an interpretation where the reader thinks that a "galloping bridge" could perhaps describe a windmill (I doubt it). It could be some kind of suspension bridge which moves a lot when people cross it or the wind blows it. One could only guess. I don't think the poem itself helps.
