Voltage Levels in Israel 19:36 Oct 3, 2013
In the beginning there were only two levels, that were called Low (up to 1000 V) and High (above 1000 V - actually 6, 12 then 22 kV). The Rutenberg hydroelectric Power station generated some 18 MW - and that was 80-90% of the country's power. Then they had 110 kV, followed by 161 kV and recently (several decades ago) - 400 kV. In the ROW (rest of the world), the names are: Low - up to 1000 V Medium - up to 50 kV High - up to 230 kV Extra High (EHV) - above 230 kV with regional variances
