retrograde cholecystectomy Explanation: I believe this is the translation of the full expression but do not claim to be authoritative so please correct me if I am wrong. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day 19 hrs (2020-12-22 23:27:20 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Eytan's reference talks about cholecystectomy so that is a bit confusing but the point is that it would only be a retrograde cholecystectomy if the gall bladder was being dissected for the purpose of removing gallstones. If it was being dissected for any other purpose, cholecystectomy would not apply. Eytan's terminology is therefore certainly more correct here. So you made the right choice! |
