Explanation:
When I was in Lucknow, the children there made use of this phrase quite often in the sense of छल करना, शेखी बघारना, फेंकना, etc.

I wonder if this is what you have in mind.

I have never come across the word तड़िपर. The dictionaries I have too don't mention it.
