A földigiliszták mozgásáról 5-6. osztályos tanulóknak szóló cikkben fordul elő. Egy körkörös és egy hosszanti (circular and longitudinal layers of muscle) izomréteg alkotja, egyelőre így is fordítottam, de hátha van pontosabb megoldás is.

"Az állat testét csupasz, nyálkás bőr fedi, ennek típusa egyrétegű hengerhám. A bőrével védekezik, lélegzik és fényt érzékel. A bőre ugyanakkor a mozgásában is részt vesz, mert összenőtt az alatta lévő izommal. Az izomzat a testet tömlőszerűen veszi körül. Innen a mozgásszerv neve, a bőrizomtömlő."

Az ízes magyar "bőrizomtömlő" kifjezéshez hasonlóan frappáns megfelelője az angolban (szó szerint): "dermo-muscular" tube

A single layer of epidermic cells, some of which are glandular, forms the outer layer. Rarely are these ciliated, and then only in limited tracts. ...viszont lehet, hogy ez kissé régiesnek tűnhet angol anyanyelvű olvasóknak. Esetleg használhatod így is: "locomotive organ of the earthworm", vagy lazábban így: "somatic muscle" (szomatikus izom) vagy simán "body wall" (testfal). Sajnos olyan kifejezést én sem ismerek, ami a magyarhoz hasonlóan mindenre kiterjed, azaz "a testet tömlőszerűen körülvevő, a bőrrel összenőtt szomatikus izom"... Remélem, kicsit talán segítettem (és üdv a fedélzeten! :))
