period of interruption Explanation: "The period of interruption, however, shall not be included in computing the total period of continuous service. Except as so provided, an interruption shall result in a permanent loss of all continuous service credit." http://digitalcommons.ilr.cornell.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?ar... |

Példák: "Generally, substantially continuous creditable service must not include any break in service of more than 30 calendar days. If an employee does not complete the 3-year period, a single break in service of more than 30 calendar days will require the employee to serve a new 3-year period. (Periods of time in a nonpay status are not breaks in service and do not require the employee to begin a new 3-year period. However, they may extend the service time needed for career tenure.)" http://ohmygov.com/blogs/general_news/archive/2010/08/18/dea... "a period of leave of absence without pay longer than 60 consecutive calendar days does not constitute a break in service and will not be included in the calculation of the cumulative working period for appointment to indeterminate status under this policy..." http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=12584§ion=t... "Break In Service The amount of time someone is not on an agency payroll (i.e., the time between separation and reemployment). For career-conditional employees, a break in service means not being on an agency payroll for more than thirty calendar days." http://www.hhs.gov/careers/jobs/keyterms/index.html |
